Reviews for Zhu Zhu Pets Tree House (Toy) I bought this for my 8 year old grandchild. She loves it! It is as adorable as the picture and IF YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS it is very easy to put together. We did read the directions after failing to discover where to hang the hammock.
Reviews for Zhu Zhu Pets Tree House (Toy) My six year old daughter wanted this for her Zhu Zhu Pets, so we bought this set and the hamster funhouse to connect it to. The first thing we discovered is that a part of the swing was missing. Not a huge deal, but when you pay over [...] for a huge piece of plastic, you sort of want every part to be there. It was a little tricky to put together, and doesn't seem all that solid, but as long as you're not messing with it it stays up just fine. I always wish toys like this were more durable.

I have to say, it is pretty cute. My 6yo and 4yo played with it a bunch this afternoon. Not sure how we will store it as it's a pain to un-connect and re-connect the pieces, so we'll have to figure that out.

This all plastic toy takes no batteries or special tools. All you do is assemble it together and add some Zhu Zhu pet hamsters for some simple fun.

Zhu Zhu Pets Tree House, as I said, has to be assembled and the process does take some patience. I was a little annoyed by the assembly process because some of it is less intuitive. Part of the assembly, for instance, involves the use of u- shaped connectors that are used to hook the ramps together and to connect them to the circular tree house at the top. They work, but they take time to line up and snap into place and I can think of many toys with similar connections that have a much easier connection mechanism, requiring nothing more than a firm snap to lock in place with no connector. Eventually, you will get it worked out, but it takes a little more time than it should.

The Zhu Zhu Pet Tree House has a few extras for added fun. The main sections are the tree house itself, with its elevated area where the Zhu Zhu pets can assemble together, and the ramps. But there are other things too, like a hammock and swing. My kids like these extras, but I noticed that the swing and hammock do not stay in place very well. They have to constantly be repaired and most will agree that, like with the connectors, the manufacturer didn't create this toy in the most sensible way. The hammock is the greatest problem. It easily detaches and has to be re- fastened. The orange tube cover on one of the ramps is another issue. It pops off too easily during the course of play.

One good aspect of this toy is that it takes no batteries and has no moving parts. This means there is no added expense and it also means that kids will be encouraged to use their imagination as they play.
